celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Grand River as a Canadian Heritage River

In the afternoon we groove to bluegrass and folk music from some local favourites. 2pm start.

  • Tragedy Ann

    Tragedy Ann

Tragedy Ann is a Forward-looking Folk duo from Guelph, Ontario. Braiding organic vocal harmonies with organ, accordion, singing saw, and guitars, Tragedy Ann’s arrangements are as delicate as they are driving. Their concerts emanate “…the honesty and enthusiasm of people who can’t help but create and perform.” (Jon Farmer, Georgian Bay Roots).

  • Kristine Schmitt

    Kristine Schmitt & Andrew Penner

Toronto's Kristine Schmitt and Andrew Penner make music that's warm and charming and rowdy, and just a little bit unpredictable. Longterm mutual admirers, they made a record together called "Dear Me" in the wild outer reaches of Toronto, pairing Kristine's unusual songs with Andrew's hefty multi-instrumentalist skills and brilliant production. With combined backgrounds in early acoustic country, folk-rock and theatre, they share a shouty sense of fun that is the absolute only thing to listen to after a long bike ride.
